02. Abstract
An immersive AR meditation experience that creates moments of pause through guided breathing. Users stand in front of a screen, and AR tracks their breath through a webcam. As they breathe—following a four-box count (inhale, hold, exhale, pause)—a flower grows on one side of the screen, then slowly dissolves. The experience requires no interaction: AR puts users into the environment automatically.
04. Hypothesis
When users are guided through a breathing exercise using AR visualization, they stop and engage because visual feedback makes the process tangible. The four-box count creates rhythm, while the flower growing and dissolving provides visual feedback. AR puts users into the environment without requiring interaction—they just stand there. However, AR may distract from the breathing itself—users may focus on the visualization rather than the breath.
